Five Pairs

Stephen Adams 1st first entered his mark, c1758 as a smallworker with William Jury, his first mark alone was the 8th October 1760.

He seems to have retired in 1790 when his son first entered his mark  as a bucklemaker, he appears to have been dead by 5th Febuary 1802 when his son Stephen Adams 11  no longer styled himself "junior" when signing the mark entries.

This pair are an attractive pair with a pair of delightful cast arms, they have an unusual mongram inscribed on the Bow, l am not sure if it is a marriage bethrothal, because  as can be seen there are five initials.
