Five Pairs Stephen Adams 1st first entered his mark, c1758 as a smallworker with William Jury, his first mark alone was the 8th October 1760. He seems to have retired in 1790 when his son first entered his mark as a bucklemaker, he appears to have been dead by 5th Febuary 1802 when his son Stephen Adams 11 no longer styled himself "junior" when signing the mark entries.
