This pair are unusual, to have bright cut "legs" on the tongs is a first for this site, the engraving has been done well with an attractive "Adam" styilised flower on each side, also having the "incused" duty mark in one of the bowls with the sterling mark, and the makers name in the other makes them even more unique.
This pair shows signs of the Makers Mark being "Overstamped"
These tongs are very attractive.
This pair are something of a puzzle, l have seen three identical pairs all by different makers in London, this pair also show signs of being "overstamped" They are an attractive pair with good "Adam Style" engravings to the Bow
This Pair are very late assayed in 1791/92 makes them very late for a pair of Cast tongs
