THREE PAIRS

Benjamin Montigue entered his first mark as a smallworker in the name of Mordecai on the 24th August 1770. His second mark on the 26th April 1771, his address was Clerkenwell Green London.

The following Tongs are all very different in style and shape, but all three are made in three different sections.

The first pair are solid cast tongs, there is a marriage Betroathal on the Bows within a period style engraving of a Rose see Link

These are a heavy pair of Tongs, very unusual in design, they have inscribed on the Leg a Marriage Betroathal

Another unusual shaped pair, these have a very good pair of Acorn Bowls
